I can't speak for anyone else but my experience has been the color that appears on the sc site is completely different from how it will look in game. The car color will stay the same once you change the crew color but the tire smoke and lights will change to the current crew color.

Just restart the whole application, crew color will instantly change, i'm on ps4 btw. It takes the hex value appended to the url when you use a social club button and edits your current crew color.

From memory, i believe your vehicle colours remain the same, so you'll need to apply the crew colour once more in lsc if you want. Either create a new crew to use for the custom color, or select an existing crew that you are the owner/commissioner for. Scroll down and click save.
